Story, Cinematography, Editing and Director — Karel Koula
The deportation of 26-year-old Vietnamese worker Le Kim Tanh was covered by almost every national media outlet in the Czech Republic. He paid the price for a mistake by the recruitment agency, which sent him to work before it had completed the necessary paperwork. The young man, who had gone into debt at home to work in the Czech Republic, wanted to die and went on hunger strike against his deportation. Even that did not help in the end: he had to board a plane to Hanoi. Reporter Karel Koula travelled to Vietnam to find him and to hand over a gift from Czech friends who are trying to help him with his debt of several hundred thousand crowns.
