2008 · episode of the series The 13th Chamber · Czech Television · Czech Republic · 26 min
Director — Karel Koula
Synopsis
The extraordinary personal story of the celebrated mime and dancer Jaroslav Čejka, who devoted his whole life to a ballet career and received the Thalia Award for lifetime achievement. At its centre is his strong, often binding relationship with his mother, in whom he sought safety and security; his decision to stay with her until her death; and the loneliness and longing for a close partner that followed — in sharp contrast to the image of a comedian bringing joy to his audience.
